BeoBrew IPA IS THE FIRST BEER INFUSED WITH MUSIC

For some, music is a part of our everyday lives. It can inspire the emotion and creativity that drives some of the most talented artists and creators. The creatives at B&O Play, a high end line of Bluetooth speakers and heaphones from Danish electronics maker Bang & Olufsen, have teamed up with the brewing masters of Mikkeller to create Beobrew – a beer that is infused with music, of all things.

The brew is made with Simcoe and Centennial hops and is a 6.8% ABV American-style IPA with a bright and aromatic taste that’s both floral and citrus.

Kyle Wolak says:

“By adding the speaker and the vibrations that come from it, I think the yeast will focus on making more flavorful notes than using its energy to move around to the sugars that are in the solution.”

As for the music, B&O PLAY and Mikkeller asked a group of young up and coming Danish musicians to compose tracks for the fermentation process.

Beobrew will be rolled out to Mikkeller bars in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain, and the US as well as Ace Hotel in New York and LA this summer. If you’re not near any of these cities,  don’t fret, you can have your Beobrew delivered to your doorstep at mikkeller.dk today.
