Sierra Nevada Beer Camp: Hoppy Belgian-style Golden Ale

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp: Hoppy Belgian-style Golden Ale

This quintessential Belgian style is so absurdly delicious and refreshing and enchanting and riveting…extreme, I know, but I can literally not get enough.  There aren’t too many things better than a Duvel on a hot Texas summer day.  Those heavenly bubbles take the 8.0% ABV straight to my head, in the best way.  And even though it is perfection as it is, I have thought a time or two that it could do with a dash of hops or a spritz of citrus.  They must have been reading my mind because this one is brewed with lemon peel and dosed with extra hops.  So good, I could swim in it.

Color: Clear and crisp golden

Aroma: White grape, lemon peel, light clove, and bubblegum

Taste: Subtle pear, juicy grape, and bitter lemon peel

Finish: Effervescent with spicy citrus

Body: Medium
